The NuFact 06 Summer School

About the NuFact Summer School
The NuFact 06 Summer School will run from Tuesday, August 15 through Wednesday,
August 23 and feature over six days of lectures and discussions at a level appropriate
for graduate students and young post-docs in neutrino and related machine physics.
Locations and Dates
The Summer School will begin at UCLA on Tuesday, August 15.
Following the open Day (Saturday, August 19) the School will move to UC Irvine on
the morning of Sunday, August 20. The move is to allow participants in the ISS pre-meeting
(August 21-23) to lecture at the School. Van transportation for students will
from UCLA to UC Irvine will be provided.
The School continues at UC Irvine through the afternoon of Wednesday, August 23.
The NuFact 06 Workshop itself begins the following day.
Program
The Summer School will feature topical lectures, discussion time and tutorials reviewing
the foundations of neutrino and lepton flavor physics, as well as experimental techniques
and basic accelerator technology.

Accommodations
The registration fee for the Summer School includes all accommodation expenses,
and two meals per day.

Registration (Summer School Only)
Students may register for the Summer School only, if they wish, but the "Deluxe"
(School + NuFact Workshop) package (see below) is recommended.
The registration fee for the Summer School (only) is $800, and
includes all accommodations during the School, and two meals per day.
Lecturers for the Summer School do not need to register.
"Deluxe" Student Package:
NuFact Summer School + Workshop
We recommend that students attending the Summer School register for the NuFact Workshop
at the same time.
The registration fee for the Deluxe student package is $1500, and
includes all registration fees for the School and the Workshop, student accommodations
for both, two meals per day (except Saturday, August 19), and the NuFact Workshop
dinner.
You will receive the discounted "Deluxe" rate if you register for the Summer School
and the NuFact 06 Workshop at the same time AND request student housing in on-campus
apartments during the registration process.
