International Scoping Study Pre-Meeting
About the ISS
The International Scoping Study is a year-long study of the physics motivation, and accelerator/detector
challenges of future neutrino factory and superbeam facility. It is sponsored by ECFA (European Committee on Future Accelerators) and
BENE (Beams for European Neutrino Experiments), but involves physicists from around the world.
The conclusions of the study will be finalized at the August Pre-Meeting, presented and discussed at the
NuFact Workshop, and a written report will be produced in Fall 2006.
The mandate and organization of the study, minutes of previous meetings, and contact information
are available on the ISS homepage at Imperial College, London.
Program
Details of the International Scoping Study Pre-Meeting program will be posted when made
available by the ISS convenors.
Meetings will be held at the Beckman Center (NuFact Meeting Site)
on Monday, August 21 and Tuesday, August 22. Rooms are reserved for plenary and working-group
sessions on both days. Lunch and coffee breaks will be provided on-site. Space will be available for
smaller, informal meetings at the hotel or on-campus (not at the
Beckman Center) on Wednesday, August 23.
